That one picture

I’m always searching for that one picture, colour, poem, object or word of inspiration that captures the project I'm working on or inspires my next.

When planning my events I always have my jumping off point, that one piece of inspiration that everything else flows from. Since starting to plan my own wedding, I have been searching for it, that one image to capture the vision. After finding lots of lovely things but not quite the right one, today I finally found that that speaks to me, it’s perfect !

This is exactly what I what our wedding to be ! Classic, simple, fun and timeless, with that touch of Disney

The great chair cover debate .....

This is the one thing I knew immediate I could not budge on – chair covers & sashes I can’t stand them, I personally HATE HATE HATE them ! (and the matching organza / silk sash & table runner – no thanks!) On occasion I have seen them look ok, but it usually depends on: the space/venue, the quality of the cover, the colour/theme combination you choose and the amount of space you have. Far too often people cram chairs with covers & sashes into venues that either have enough character on their own or are too small for all the extra clutter and all you end up seeing is a sea of material, chair covers & sashes .....

The solution would be to either find plain wooden chairs that won’t need covers & sashes, or splurge and have Tiffany chairs (which by the way I adore) they are fine and delicate, they can definitely add to the elegant atmosphere without taking over and standing out. Nearly every venue we like has plenty of character on its own so the idea would be to have the chairs almost disappear into the background – not stand out and make a statement! I did think this over for a long time and decided to splurge on tiffany chairs in a white wash (the ones in the pic are silver) with a white cushion! They will be perfect!
